REQUEST FOR BIDS (RFB)

 

RFB No: ZM-MGEE-570646-CW-RFB – “CONSTRUCTION OF IRRIGATION CANALS AND WEIRS IN MUNGWI AND MPULUNGU DISTRICTS OF NORTHERN PROVINCE UNDER THE TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPES FOR RESILIENCE AND DEVELOPMENT (TRALARD) II PROJECT”.

 

The Government of the Republic of Zambia (GRZ) through Ministry of Green Economy and Environment has received financing from the World Bank (WB), Nordic Development Fund (NDF), Climate Investment Funds (CIF), Global Environment Facility (GEF), Least Developed Countries Fund (LDCF) and Scaling Climate Action by Lowering Emissions (SCALE) towards the cost of implementing the TRALARD II Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for the construction of irrigation canals and weirs in Mungwi and Mpulungu districts of Northern province.

 

The Office of the President, Provincial Administration, Northern Province now invites bids on behalf of the TRALARD II Provincial Project Implementation Unit (PPIU) for the construction of irrigation canals and weirs in Mungwi and Mpulungu districts of Northern province. The submission of the tenders will be through the electronic government procurement (eGP) system.

The invitation is open to all eligible and interested bidders registered with the National Council for Construction (NCC) Grade 4 or better and in Category C.  Interested bidders may submit and address their bids labelled “Tender to construct Irrigation Canals and Weirs in Mungwi and Mpulungu districts of Northern Province” using the electronic government procurement (eGP) system.

 

All Bids should be submitted through the EGP system not later than Tuesday, 6th October 2026 at 10:00 hours, local time. LATE BIDS WILL AUTOMATICALLY BE REJECTED BY THE SYSTEM.

 

Attention is drawn to the Procurement Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder’s beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.
