- The Republic of Moldova has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Moldova Rural Connectivity Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Procurement of Construction works of the access road to the bridge over the Prut River, Ungheni, km 1+000 - km 1+410.
- The “National Road Administration” (NRA) now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the execution of the construction works under Contract MRCP/W6/01, including all necessary activities for the construction of the access road to the bridge over the Prut River, such as earthworks, pavement construction, drainage works, road safety facilities, road markings, traffic signs, utility relocation and protection, environmental protection measures, and all other works specified in the Bill of Quantities and Technical Specifications.
The Scope of Works includes, but is not limited to, the following major quantities:
- Over 333.300 m³ of earthworks;
- Over 16.800 m³ of soil improvement at the base of the embankment;
- Over 16.200 m³ of granular drainage layer;
- Over 104.000 m² of geogrid and geocomposite reinforcement;
- Over 4.000 tonnes of asphalt mixtures;
- Over 18 m of reinforced concrete box culvert;
- Over 2.400 m of paved waterways;
- Over 1.800 m of guardrail installation;
- Over 100 of traffic signs;
- Over 1.600 m² of road markings (cold-applied two-component material).
Utilities constructions and rearrangements:
- Over 1.900 m of road lighting;
- Over 4.000 m of communication lines;
- Over 100 m of water supply network relocation
- Bidding will be conducted through national competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB), Small Works, as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers - Procurement in Investment Projects Financing; Goods, Works, Non-Consulting and Consulting Services”, revision September 2025 (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
- Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from National Road Administration and inspect the bidding document during office hours - between 09:00 to 16:00 at the address given below.
- In order to receive the Bidding documents, any amendments or clarifications to the Bidding Documents, the interested Bidders should register by completing the following Registration: http://files.asd.md/Directia_investitii/Registration_Form_BDs_Ungheni.zip
Completed Registration Form shall be submitted to Employer’s Project Officer via the email provided below. Registration will be completed when a potential Bidder receives a registration number from the Employer. The potential Bidder may elect on the Registration Form to receive the Bidding Documents, or any amendments or clarifications to the Bidding Documents, in the following manner:
- free of charge via e-mail on submission of a request at the address below, and
- free of charge in electronic format at the address below.
- Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 10:00 am, September 8th, 2026. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below on 10:30 am, September 8th, 2026.
- All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid-Securing Declaration.
- Attention is drawn to the Procurement Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder’s beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.
