New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) is seeking proposals from experienced contractors to perform refrigeration preventative maintenance, repair, and emergency services at the: (1) Brooklyn Wholesale Meat Market, (2) New Essex Street Market, and (3) Moore Street Market (the Project).NYCEDC plans to select a contractor for the Project on the basis of selection criteria stated in the RFP which include but are not limited to: the quality of the proposal, experience of the Project Team identified in the proposal, demonstrated successful experience in performing services similar to those encompassed in the RFP, and the price proposal.It is the policy of NYCEDC to comply with all federal, state and City laws and regulations which prohibit unlawful discrimination because of race, creed, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, marital status and other protected category and to take affirmative action in working with contracting parties to ensure certified Minority and Women-owned Business Enterprises (MWBEs) share in the economic opportunities generated by NYCEDCs projects and initiatives.NYCEDC established the Contract Financing Loan Fund programs for Minority, Women and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (M/W/DBE) interested in working on public construction projects. Contract Financing Loan Fund facilitates financing for short-term mobilization needs such as insurance, labor, supplies and equipment. Detailed attendance instructions for each site visit will be emailed the day before each event to those who RSVPd by the RSVP deadline. 4:00 P.M. ET on August 4, 2026: Brooklyn Wholesale Meat Market, located at 5600 First Avenue, in Brooklyn. 10:00 A.M. ET on August 6, 2026: New Essex Street Market, located at 115 Delancey Street, in Manhattan. 4:00 P.M. ET on August 6, 2026: Moore Street Market, located at 110 Moore Street, in Brooklyn.Respondents may submit questions and/or request clarifications from NYCEDC no later than 5:00 P.M.
