Dear Bidder,
The International Labour Office (ILO) is looking for an individual to undertake work as an External Collaborator.
Below is a summary of the work to be performed:
To introduce a sustainable, market-informed approach that integrates livelihood assessment and economic opportunity identification into ACCEL Egypt's child protection and youth employment activities.
The targeted groups include youth aged 14–18 and families involved in or at risk of involvement in jasmine harvesting in the identified villages of Gharbia.
By providing evidence-based market information and identifying safe, viable economic pathways, the project aims to create informed programme design, expand access to decent livelihood opportunities, protect vulnerable youth from exploitative work, and contribute to the elimination of child labour in the jasmine supply chain.
●Equip programme staff and partners with comprehensive market intelligence on vocational training opportunities, apprenticeship models, and labour market demands relevant to jasmine supply chain employment.
●Conduct a participatory market assessment that identifies viable income-generating activities aligned with local market capacity, youth skills, and community resources.
●Introduce practical mapping of business linkages and value chain connections that can create sustainable employment and entrepreneurship pathways for programme beneficiaries.
●Ensure targeted beneficiaries and implementing partners are equipped with evidence-based information on safe, appropriate livelihoods for youth aged 14–18, while identifying and prioritizing activities that meet child protection standards and decent work principles adapted to the local context.
