Dear Bidder,
The International Labour Office (ILO) is looking for an individual to undertake work as an External Collaborator.
The ILO seeks to engage an external collaborator to undertake an assessment on the current state of labour migration statistics and information systems in Ethiopia.
The assignment will support the Government of Ethiopia in strengthening labour migration data systems and improving the availability, quality and use of labour migration statistics for evidence-based and gender-responsive policy development.
The assignment includes reviewing legal, institutional and policy frameworks governing labour migration data; mapping existing official and non-official labour migration data sources; assessing data collection systems, metadata quality, accessibility and interoperability; and identifying institutional, technical and coordination gaps related to labour migration statistics.
The external collaborator will conduct desk review, stakeholder consultations and key informant interviews, and develop recommendations to improve labour migration data collection, management, analysis and integration into the national labour market information system.
The assignment will also include preparation of assessment reports, facilitation of a stakeholder validation workshop, and submission of a final report and policy brief with actionable recommendations.
Please note that if travel is required for this assignment, the necessary travel costs will be covered by the ILO.
