Description

The City of Humboldt invites proposals from qualified consulting firms to prepare a comprehensive Urban Forestry Strategy and Asset Management Plan. This project, funded through the Federation of Canadian Municipalities' Growing Canada's Community Canopies (GCCC) initiative, will establish a long-term framework for managing, protecting, expanding, and investing in the City's urban forest as a critical municipal infrastructure asset. The scope includes baseline inventory and GIS/LiDAR canopy assessment, policy and development standards review, climate adaptation and risk assessment, asset management integration, community and Indigenous engagement, development of levels of service and operational standards, and preparation of a Five-Year Operational Plan and implementation roadmap.
