Description

The Mayor's Office to End Domestic and Gender Based Violence (ENDGBV) is looking to purchase a 36- month subscription service with Smartling, Inc., to improve the translation of its NYC HOPE website, which provides the public with resources for individuals experiencing domestic and gender-based violence. Smartling is a tool that helps extend the reach of their online content, ads, images, and audio files to international audiences by providing them with the translation services and technologies to make it more appealing to their target audience. Smartling will allow ENDGBV to use human translations, as opposed to Google Translations on NYC HOPE, resulting in more accurate translations that are easier for the non-English speaking public to understand. The Smartling technology enables the translators working with ENDGBV to systematically translate each line of the website, which also builds in stages for review.
