Contracting of a specialized company for the supply of didactic-pedagogical materials, to meet the needs of the Municipal Secretariat of Education, Culture and Sports. The Municipal Secretariat of Education, Culture and Sports of Itaguajé is committed to ensuring inclusive, equitable education focused on the integral development of students, promoting, beyond the appropriation of curricular content, the development of essential skills and values for life in society, such as respect for diversity, citizenship, empathy, critical thinking, historical awareness, and respect for human rights. In this context, the need to strengthen pedagogical actions related to Education on Ethnic-Racial Relations is evident, a fundamental theme for building a more just, democratic, and prejudice-free society, as well as for valuing the cultural, historical, and social diversity that constitutes Brazil's formation. This theme is supported by current educational legislation, especially Federal Law No. 10.639/2003 and Federal Law No. 11.645/2008, which establish the mandatory teaching of Afro-Brazilian, African, and Indigenous History and Culture. Despite the relevance and legal obligation, it is observed that, in the school context, these contents may still be addressed in a sporadic manner, often associated with commemorative dates or isolated activities, without the necessary continuity, transversality, and integration into the school curriculum. The analysis of the reality of the Municipal Education Network also highlights the need to expand the availability of specific, contextualized, and scientifically based pedagogical resources, which offer teachers theoretical and methodological support for the development of anti-racist pedagogical practices and for the qualified approach of content related to the history, culture, identities, and contributions of African, Afro-Brazilian, and Indigenous peoples. Needs related to the continuous training of education professionals are also identified, especially regarding the implementation of curricular guidelines for Education on Ethnic-Racial Relations, the development of anti-racist pedagogical practices, and the construction of interdisciplinary approaches capable of overcoming stereotyped or merely commemorative perspectives. In this sense, it is relevant to provide training and pedagogical guidance that contribute to the planning and execution of educational practices aligned with the competencies and skills set forth in the National Common Curricular Base – BNCC. Another relevant aspect consists of strengthening students' identities and sense of belonging. The school is a privileged space for the construction of knowledge, values, and attitudes that favor the recognition and appreciation of different ethnic-racial identities, contributing to the development of self-esteem, empathy, respect for differences, and the capacity for democratic coexistence. Similarly, it is necessary to expand the participation of families and the school community in actions related to Education on Ethnic-Racial Relations, strengthening dialogue, bonds, and co-responsibility in the educational process. The integration between school, family, and community can contribute to the construction of more welcoming, inclusive environments committed to promoting racial equality and combating discriminatory practices. Although the didactic materials provided by government programs are important tools to support the teaching and learning process, there is a need for complementary resources that more specifically, continuously, and in-depth address the particularities of Education on Ethnic-Racial Relations, expanding the pedagogical work possibilities of school units and offering support to education professionals.
