Hiring of a specialized company for the supply of materials and execution of services for the installation of gutters, eaves, and drip edges, intended for the maintenance, conservation, and protection of the buildings and other public properties of the Municipality The present hiring arises from the need to ensure the adequate maintenance, conservation, and protection of the buildings and other public properties belonging to the Municipality, especially regarding the correct channeling and drainage of rainwater from the building roofs. The absence, insufficiency, or deterioration of gutters, eaves, and drip edges can lead to inadequate channeling of rainwater, favoring the occurrence of leaks, humidity, dripping, deterioration of walls, coatings, ceilings, structures, and other constructive elements, potentially causing progressive damage to the buildings and compromising the adequate conditions for the use of public spaces. The need is comprehensive, considering that the properties used by the Municipal Administration are distributed across different units and locations and present maintenance demands that may arise differently over the period of use. Thus, it is necessary to hire a specialized company for the supply of materials and the execution of installation services for gutters, eaves, and drip edges, according to the needs identified by the Administration, observing the specifications, conditions, and quantities that will be defined in the hiring documents. The hiring aims to enable the necessary interventions in municipal public properties, contributing to the prevention of damage resulting from rainwater action, the preservation of public assets, and the maintenance of adequate operating conditions for administrative units and other spaces intended for the provision of public services. The measure also has a preventive character, as the adequate capture, conduction, and channeling of rainwater can reduce the occurrence of construction problems and the need for more complex and costly corrective interventions.
