SCHOOL TRANSPORTATION DRIVER The school transportation driver shall transport students on pre-established routes, from boarding points to their respective school units and, on return, to disembarkation points, observing the itineraries, schedules, and guidelines defined by the Administration, in accordance with the calendar and schedules of the attended school units. The driver's duties include: a) Ensuring the safety of students throughout the route, adopting defensive driving compatible with the road conditions, the vehicle, and passenger transport; b) Complying with current traffic legislation and specific regulations applicable to school transportation; c) Not using a mobile phone or any other device that may compromise their attention while driving, unless the vehicle is properly parked; d) Wearing a uniform and functional identification, when required by the Administration, as well as appropriate clothing and footwear for driving; e) Ensuring the maintenance and safety conditions of the vehicle used for school transportation, immediately reporting any mechanical failure, defect, abnormality, or situation that may compromise the safety of students or the regularity of the service to the Administration; f) Observing the maximum passenger capacity of the vehicle and ensuring that transport conditions are maintained in accordance with applicable legislation; g) Maintaining an ethical, professional, and respectful demeanor in dealing with students, parents or guardians, public servants, and other service users; h) Complying with the itineraries and schedules established by the Administration, notifying in advance any occurrence that may cause alteration or interruption of the service; i) Complying with the guidelines and determinations issued by the contract manager or inspector, within their attributions. 1.2.2.
