O Arsenal de Marinha do Rio de Janeiro (AMRJ) é uma OMPS (Organização Militar Prestadora de Serviços) que
atende as diversas demandas de manutenção dos meios navais da Marinha do Brasil, esta contratação visa
complementar e manter a capacidade de mão de obra qualificada para atender essas demandas.
As presentes manutenções tornam-se extremamente importantes, pois os Navios, devido a natureza das atividades
militares, necessitam que seus motores permaneçam disponíveis e operantes a todo momento, podendo sofrer
funcionamento ininterrupto, dependendo das comissões a que são submetidos.
A presente contratação tem por objeto a prestação de serviços especializados de manutenção preventiva e corretiva,
bem como o fornecimento de sobressalentes, destinados aos motores de combustão interna de fabricação MTU
(Rolls-Royce Solutions),
