El objeto del contrato cubrirá la realización de toda la obra, consistente, según la propia memoria del proyecto, en la construcción de una nueva vía de circunvalación que une las carreteras OU-105 con la OU-525/N-525 (Ronda Este), en los ayuntamientos de Ourense y San Cibrao das Viñas, ambos en la provincia de Ourense. El nuevo trazado parte de la glorieta existente en el punto kilométrico (P.Q.) 2+580 de la carretera OU-105, en la confluencia con la OU-510, en el núcleo de Bemposta. Partiendo de esta glorieta, la Ronda Este discurre en sentido sudoeste y termina en la nueva glorieta de conexión que permitirá el enlace con la N-525/OU-525 y con la autovía A-52. La nueva vía discurre en terraplén en los primeros 400 m, y sigue en desmonte con taludes elevados hasta el P.Q. 1+220, condicionado por la línea ferroviaria de ADIF. En este punto el trazado cruza sobre el río Barbaña, mediante un viaducto de 80 m, y entronca directamente con la glorieta existente en la N-525 que no sufrirá ninguna modificación. El acceso a dicha glorieta desde/hacia la N-525/OU-525 se redefine mediante la ejecución de dos ramales: el Ramal Sur parte desde la carretera OU-525 mediante un carril de deceleración, y el Ramal Norte que parte de la glorieta existente, bajando hasta la N-525 y entroncando con el carril adicional que permite la entrada a Expourense.
