De Opdracht omvat het controleren van medisch/farmaceutisch georiënteerde Nederlandse vertalingen. De oorspronkelijke tekst (Engels) wordt goedgekeurd in de registratieprocedure van het geneesmiddel. Voordat het geneesmiddel op de markt gebracht mag worden, wordt de Engelse tekst door de producent (firma) vertaald in het Nederlands. Het is de wettelijke taak van de Opdrachtgever om deze door producent vertaalde Nederlandse tekst te controleren op juistheid en begrijpelijkheid.
