D5 Repair of CB pavement in km 88.3 - 94.0 L+R and PCR control point

The construction addresses the continuous repair of the D5 highway pavement, comprehensive adjustments to the safety barrier system, repair of the storm sewer, and minor repairs to bridge structures and pavements of the branches of two multi-level interchanges • Sulkov (EXIT 89) • Nýřany (EXIT 93) The scope of the construction is defined by the operational mileage of approximately km 88.3 – 95.0, so the total length of the section is more than 6 km in each direction. Within the pavement, the existing cement concrete surface will be completely removed and replaced with a new cement concrete surface with reinforced working and expansion joints. Depending on the extent of structural damage, the bonded sub-base layers will be locally repaired, or completely removed and replaced with a new sub-base layer of appropriate parameters. The work includes the repair and adjustment of the shoulders, including their cleaning, reprofiling, and local renewal, or the creation of new monolithic concrete gutters at the edges of the pavement. At the same time, street inlets and connecting parts of the drainage system will be replaced, supplemented, and cleaned. Road ditches will be cleaned, cleared of invasive vegetation, and in places of damage, prefabricated ditch blocks will be locally replaced. Access to all SOS boxes will be adjusted, and for selected boxes, it will be widened to meet current ŘSD standards. These adjustments will require local widening of the embankment, slope adjustments, and related construction work. As part of safety measures, the safety barrier systems will be completely replaced. In the central median, the existing steel guardrails will be removed and replaced with concrete guardrails. Along the outer shoulder, the guardrails will also be completely replaced and locally supplemented with regard to the recommendations of the safety inspection (CEBASS) and valid technical regulations. The construction also includes repairs to selected bridge structures SO 201 – Bridges no. D5-098..1 and D5-098..2, mainly including the renewal of anti-corrosion protection of steel load-bearing structures, repair of bridge expansion joints, replacement or supplementation of sealing and filling materials for expansion joints, repair of the curb-road interface, and local repairs of concrete structures. Culverts will be cleaned, cleared of vegetation, safety railings will be supplemented, and in justified cases, concrete curbs or entire culverts will be replaced. On the branches of grade-separated interchanges, the asphalt pavements will be repaired by milling off asphalt layers approximately 120 mm thick and replacing them with new asphalt layers within the boundaries of the existing pavement. At the same time, adjacent drainage elements will be cleaned and locally repaired, and ramps will be repaired, including the replacement of culverts under the ramps. The construction includes the conversion of selected unused rest areas into a control point for the Police of the Czech Republic, adjustment of entrances and exits, preservation of existing paved areas, and connection to the existing drainage system. During the implementation, temporary traffic organization will be ensured through transitional traffic signs and partial or complete closures. At the end of the construction work, the horizontal traffic markings will be renewed and the vertical traffic markings will be reinstalled.
