Execution of works for the investment objective "Increasing non-polluting urban mobility through integrated investments in intelligent solutions related to the South West - Center Integrated Mobility Corridor (Rîmnicu Vîlcea Street - Basarabilor Boulevard) of Curtea de Argeș Municipality, ACCORDING TO THE ATTACHED TECHNICAL PROJECT. EXECUTION DURATION - 24 months from the start date indicated in the Work Order. The main works and equipment purchases proposed for infrastructure development are: 1. Expansion of bicycle path infrastructure: o Bicycle paths will be built over a length of 6.5 km, ensuring connection between the main traffic arteries in the city, including the overpass that will separate pedestrian and road traffic. o The paths will comply with current standards, ensuring continuity of travel along the entire route, without interruptions, for daily commuters as well as occasional users. This infrastructure will contribute to cyclist safety, avoiding the risk of road accidents. 2. Modernization of sidewalks and pedestrian areas:  Sidewalks along the mobility corridor will be rehabilitated over an area of approximately 10,000 m², providing a safe and accessible environment for pedestrian travel.  Sidewalk protection systems will be implemented by installing bollards, and pedestrian crossings will be relocated and marked to ensure the safety of pedestrian travel at critical crossing points.  Green spaces will be arranged along the sidewalks, thus contributing to the creation of a healthier and more aesthetically pleasing urban environment. 3. Installation of bike-sharing stations and bicycle racks:  4 additional automated bike-sharing stations will be installed, equipped with a total of 40 bicycles, thus expanding the existing network. In addition, 40 private bicycle racks will be installed to encourage the use of bicycles for short trips.  These stations will be equipped with intelligent management systems, allowing users easy and efficient access to bicycles, contributing to the reduction of car traffic and the promotion of non-motorized travel. 4. Construction of an overpass for bicycles and pedestrians: The overpass, with a length of 1 km, will ensure the continuity of the bicycle path and will separate bicycle and pedestrian traffic from road traffic, especially in areas with intense circulation. It will contribute to travel safety and facilitate quick and uninterrupted access between the served areas. 5. Implementation of photovoltaic systems: Photovoltaic panels will be installed at the bike-sharing stations to supply renewable energy, ensuring the non-polluting operation of the equipment and contributing to the goals of reducing carbon emissions and promoting green energy.
