The contracting authority will aim to achieve an integrated urban regeneration project. The issue of urban regeneration is topical at the European level, being the subject of meetings and declarations by the EU (Toledo Declaration 2010) and the Council of Europe (European Conference of Ministers Responsible for Regional Planning - CEMAT 2007), and is the subject of European funding and specific regulations at the EU member state level. Recently, at the EU level, the initiative to implement the concept of the "new European Bauhaus" in European states was launched as part of the post-pandemic economic recovery plan. The goal is for cities to become climate-neutral and offer a better quality of life, and S4 is part of this project. The new European Bauhaus is a hopeful project for exploring how to live better together after the pandemic. It is about combining sustainability with style to bring the European Green Deal closer to people's minds and homes. With the new European Bauhaus, our ambition is to develop an innovative framework to support, facilitate and accelerate the ecological transition by combining sustainability with aesthetics, bridging the world of art and culture, on the one hand, and the world of science and technology, on the other. The "new European Bauhaus" refers to how we live, our values, our common spaces for work and recreation, our collective and private experiences. Projects will focus on aspects ranging from natural materials and energy efficiency to demographic issues, future-oriented mobility and resource-efficient digital innovation, combined with cultural and artistic aspects. 10 areas of interest are proposed, which require interventions such as public space arrangements, outdoor recreation space arrangements, rehabilitation of pedestrian/road circulation areas, modernization of school courtyards, etc.: Z1: Oltenitei St. - Berceni St. - Iriceanu St.; Z2: Berceni St. - Turnu Magurele St. - Emil Racovita St. - Nitu Vasile St.; Z3: Emil Racovita St. - Turnu Magurele St. - Obregia Blvd.; Z4: Obregia Blvd. - Turnu Magurele St. - Brancoveanu Blvd. - Nitu Vasile St.; Z5: Luica St. - Giurgiului St. - Dr. Gazarului - Brancoveanu Blvd.; Z6: Oltenitei St. - Nitu Vasile St. - Brancoveanu Blvd.; Z7: Oltenitei St. - Dr. Gazarului - Giurgiului St.; Z8: Tineretului Blvd. - Vacaresti Road - Sincai Blvd.; Z9: Sincai Blvd. - D. Cantemir Blvd. - Marasesti Blvd. - Splaiul Unirii; Z10: Marasesti Blvd. - Splaiul Unirii - Natiunile Unite Sq. - Gazelei St. During implementation, the contracting authority may establish other areas of interest for the urban regeneration concept. The investments to be carried out in these areas are: a) arrangement-rehabilitation-modernization of public spaces within residential complexes; b) renovation and functional conversion of existing buildings, buildings with social-administrative roles, for proximity social services, cultural and exhibition centers; c) arrangement of squares and outdoor recreation spaces or in light structures; d) rehabilitation-modernization of school courtyards, public institutions, sports fields and arrangement of access for public safety, rehabilitation-modernization of equipment located on school and high school sports fields, if these are included in the project site; e) execution of works for reorganization, revitalization of public space and street network and parking lots in residential areas, with the aim of expanding and arranging pedestrian areas or areas intended for alternative mobility forms, green spaces and landscape arrangements; f) carrying out works for vertical and horizontal separation of traffic flows, securing pedestrian recreation areas from traffic areas by creating road sections in cuts, embankments for road traffic, public transport, bicycles and others, execution-rehabilitation-modernization of bridges and crossings and junctions of public pedestrian spaces; g) execution of landscaping works for the creation-modernization-extension of parks, squares, green spaces around condominium housing, protective green corridors against technical infrastructure; h) arrangement of parks and playgrounds for children, equipping them with adequate furniture, play equipment and other facilities...
