Social services for the development of independent living skills are purchased for 30 children and young people aged between 7-18 years in the special protection system. The services to be contracted are social services for the development of independent living skills of children and young people in the special protection system, who have been separated from their families. According to point 3, paragraph two of Annex 1 to Order 14/2007 for the approval of the Minimum Mandatory Standards for the Independent Living Skills Development Service and the methodological guide for the implementation of these standards: “Preparation for independent living is a form of non-formal, participatory education, for personal stimulation and development. It does not substitute the child's/young person's school education, but is complementary to it and, in the case of children in the protection system's records for the prevention of abandonment and institutionalization, it is complementary to the efforts of their own families, as derived from parental obligations and responsibilities.” The formation and development of skills can be done in two ways: as an organized activity for the purpose of forming or developing independent living skills, or as an aspect of various educational activities in which children and young people participate in residential institutions. The requested services consist of organizing and conducting recreation, socialization, and non-formal education activities for beneficiaries, which will lead to the development of daily living skills, personal care, social development, professional integration, skills related to housing management and community resource use, and money management skills. The frequency of activities will be at least one activity per week, to be in line with the ever-changing needs of children and young people as they develop their competencies and improve their performance. The services will be provided to beneficiaries based on the Specific Intervention Program (SIP) for the development of independent living skills prepared by the provider, after assessing the beneficiaries' competencies, skills, aptitudes, potential, and deficiencies in developing independent living skills.
