The waste categories covered by the delegation contract to be concluded are: • household waste from the population, respectively separately collected waste fractions such as recyclables (paper, cardboard, plastic, metals, glass), bio-waste, textile waste, bulky waste, hazardous waste, and residual waste; • similar waste originating from economic operators and public institutions, respectively separately collected waste fractions such as recyclables (paper, cardboard, plastic, metals, glass), bio-waste, textile waste, bulky waste, and residual waste; • construction and demolition waste from dwellings, generated by interior and/or exterior renovation and rehabilitation activities. The sanitation service operator will ensure the services detailed in the technical specifications, included in the award documentation. The number of inhabitants in the delegation area is estimated at 17,117 resident inhabitants in 2026. In the delegation area, there are approximately 4,017 households (individual houses) and 1,582 apartments in 102 apartment buildings. At the UAT Chitila level, there are 1,241 legal entities (public institutions and economic operators). The estimated annual quantity of municipal waste to be collected in the first year of operation is 5,480 tons, of which 3,632 tons are household waste and 1,848 tons are similar waste. The total quantity of paper, metal, plastic, and glass waste generated represents 28.80% of the municipal waste quantity (quantity generated minus SGR), in the first year of delegation (2026). The quantity of recyclable paper, metal, plastic, and glass waste from municipal waste estimated to be collected separately, including impurities, in the first year of operation, calculated based on the performance indicator of the activity, is 1,453 tons, of which 1,096 tons are household recyclables and 357 tons are similar recyclables. The quantity of residual waste estimated to be collected in the first year of operation is 3,709 tons (includes abandoned waste), of which 2,256 tons are household residual waste and 1,453 tons are similar residual waste. The quantity of textile waste estimated to be collected separately in the first year of operation is 41 tons. The quantity of household hazardous waste estimated to be collected in the first year of operation is 48 tons. The quantity of municipal bulky waste estimated to be collected in the first year of operation is 229 tons. The quantity of construction waste from dwellings estimated to be collected in the first year of operation, according to historical data, is 364 tons. The quantity of abandoned construction waste estimated to be collected in the first year of operation is 64 tons. The waste collection and transport activity will be ensured by the designated operator on an exclusive basis in the delegation area, in accordance with the provisions of art. 9, para. (1), letter f) and art. 29, para. (2), letter e) of the Law on Sanitation of Localities, no. 101/2006, republished, with subsequent amendments and additions. The UAT Chitila delegation area includes the town of Chitila and the village of Rudeni.
