The implementation of the presented investment project consists, on the one hand, in the creation of a new service unit for tourism activities, and on the other hand, it will lead to the diversification of the company's current activities, through services not previously provided by the company. Specifically, it aims to develop a tourism service activity through a well-defined strategy based on an innovative approach to the business. Thus, the company's core activity at the time of this project's implementation is in the recreational sector. Through this project, investments will be made that involve the construction of a HOTEL COMPLEX WITH AN OUTDOOR AND INDOOR SWIMMING POOL AND SPA, BASEMENT+GROUND FLOOR+MEZZANINE+3 FLOORS+RECESSED TECHNICAL FLOOR, which will be designated as a hotel, as well as equipping it to the standards of the relevant market and tourism legislation in the wellness sector, in order to quickly attract customers and create all the necessary conditions for providing innovative and quality services. Therefore, the activity currently carried out by the Applicant has no connection with the activity presented in the Business Plan, which will involve accommodation services corresponding to CAEN code 5510 - "Hotels and other accommodation facilities", which will be accompanied by catering services for guests staying at the hotel, through the hotel's restaurant. The project implementation will take place on the land located in Novaci city, Rânca street, no. 188A, "Plaiul Mare" area, Gorj county, with an area of 13,500 sqm, identified by cadastral number 42885, CF 42885, Romania. Following the project implementation, a branch office will be opened and CAEN code 5510 - Hotels and other accommodation facilities will be authorized. The space where the project implementation is intended is owned by INDICONTOMAT SERV SRL based on the concession contract concluded with UAT Novaci city, with registration number 6336 dated 15.04.2024. The investment planned by the applicant through the project is directly correlated with the Health and wellness domain, promoting a healthy lifestyle, identified in RIS3, both through the services and facilities it aims to offer and due to the equipment proposed for acquisition. Due to the specific technical flow, the proposed CAEN code 5510 - Hotels and other accommodation facilities, has potential for smart specialization according to the RIS3 approach. Given the strategic positioning of the implementation site in Novaci, a picturesque mountain town at the foot of the Parâng Mountains, it creates a conducive environment for capitalizing on the wellness concept. This facilitates a deep connection with nature, which is often seen as an essential component of regeneration and relaxation. The proposed investment responds to the growing need to escape daily stress and find balance in a healthy and sustainable way, transforming vacations into real opportunities to invest in long-term personal health. The investment aims to significantly contribute to wellness tourism by exploiting the unique advantages of the mountain environment and integrating them into hotel offers and services. This approach not only enriches the tourist experience but also adds ecological and social value to the city of Novaci. Based on the defined elements of wellness tourism as stated in RIS3, according to which wellness means relaxation, regular exercise, spiritual balance, harmony with nature, balanced nutrition, the 5-star hotel complex is a skillful tool in achieving these desiderata. The investment has significant potential to contribute to maintaining or improving the well-being of tourists, thus converging with the desiderata of this field through the implemented investment plan.
