This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this project that appeared in the African Development Bank Group’s Internet Website dated 31st May 2023. 2. The United Republic of Tanzania received financing from the African Development Bank (AfDB), Agence Française de Développement (AFD) and European Union (EU) towards the cost of Kakono Hydropower Project. It is intended that part of the proceeds of the financing will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for Design, Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of a 38.6 km 220 kV Double Circuit Transmission Line from Kakono Hydropower Plant to Kyaka Substation. 3. The Tanzania Electric Supply Company Limited (TANESCO) now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Design, Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of a 38.6 km 220 kV Double Circuit Transmission Line from Kakono Hydropower Plant to Kyaka Substation. 4. Bidding will be conducted through the Open Competitive Bidding (International), OCBI procedures as specified in the African Development Bank Procurement Framework for Bank Group Funded Operations, October 2015. 5.
