Digital Medication Management – Waren (Müritz)

The subject of the contract is the expansion of the existing system landscape at the MEDICLIN Müritz-Klinikum clinic by procuring a digital medication management system integrated into the KIS. The subject matter includes software licenses as well as services. The medication management system forms the foundation for digital documentation within the medication process. The module must electronically support the clinical workflows from the recording of the medication history, through the determination of the clinic medication including documentation of dosages, to the creation of discharge medication. The following special features were to be considered: • Recording of prescription regulations to obtain clear and complete information on the patient's medication therapy. • Documentation of previous medication to ensure continuity of medication therapy across sectors. • Prescription profiles for medications for complete patient documentation and time savings for medical staff. • Prescription templates for medications for complete patient documentation and time savings for medical staff. • Calculation aids for medication dosages to reduce medication errors. • Support for complex dosage variants to enable understandable patient-individualized therapy schemes. • Integration of drug therapy safety check data for the reduction of medication errors. The integration of these functionalities does not represent a standard configuration but requires in-depth technical interventions in the system architecture of the M-KIS.
