RS, št. 16/26, v nadaljevanju: Pravilnik) v 2. členu določa, da morajo naravovarstveni in prostovoljni nadzorniki pri izvajanju neposrednega nadzora v naravi nositi službeni znak in izkaznico ter naravovarstveni nadzorniki tudi uniformo. Oblika znaka, barve in kosi oblačil, ki sestavljajo uniformo, so določeni v Pravilniku.
