Description

The Virginia Department of Corrections (VADOC) is seeking information to discover market availability to guide its decision-making regarding implementation of an Offender Management System (OMS).VADOC is interested in assessing the feasibility of moving to a modularized, modern OMS. The goals of moving to a new OMS include:â¢ Improved performance and efficiencyâ¢ Enhanced cybersecurityâ¢ Increased flexibility and scalabilityâ¢ Improved user experienceâ¢ Cost savingsâ¢ Business agility and innovationâ¢ Integration with modern tools and technologiesâ¢ Better data management and analyticsâ¢ Support for mobile and cloud-based solutionsâ¢ Improved collaboration and communicationFor the purposes of this RFI, VADOC defines an OMS as a comprehensive, data-driven platform used by correctional and parole agencies to track, manage, and support individuals throughout the criminal justice lifecycle â from intake and incarceration to rehabilitation and reentry into the community-to-community supervision.
