About This Opportunity

Translated

This tender concerns the sale and delivery of up to 35,000 tons of backfill sand intended for hydraulic backfilling operations. The sand must meet the quality requirements specified in the Polish standard PN-93/G-11010 or equivalent solutions. If the contractor proposes sand based on equivalent solutions, they must provide documentation demonstrating this equivalence in their offer. The delivered sand must be free from visible impurities and plant matter, and must be in a free-flowing state during winter. The contracting authority will consider sands with a dominant mineral component (e.g., carbonate, granite) as equivalent if they meet all requirements set for typical quartz sands, particularly regarding water permeability (at least 0.007 cm/s), content of grains smaller than 0.1 mm (maximum 10%), maximum grain size (agglomerated) of 60 mm, and bulk density (at least 1.3 kg/dm3). The supplied sand will be used as a raw material for mining operations at the Wieliczka Salt Mine and will be transported to underground workings via a hydro-transport system. The contractor is required to possess research documentation from a scientific institution, confirming that the sand meets the requirements for quality class I, in accordance with PN-93/G-11010 or equivalent solutions. This research must be supported by geological documentation, including an information card for the backfill sand deposit and a decision approving the geological documentation.

This is a supplies contract in the mining and extractives and general supplies sectors, with a focus on Mining Operations and General Supplies. Located in Poland, Europe, this opportunity is open to firms and consortiums.
