EGNZW - Junctions Marler Str.

The subject of the tender is the construction of a new signal-controlled intersection at Marler Straße L502 including a construction road, as well as the barrier-free expansion at the signalized intersection Marler Straße L502/ Valentinstraße/ Egonstraße in Gelsenkirchen. The expansion of the new intersection at the access to the former Westerholt colliery begins north of the bridge structure B4308572 over the railway line (Section No. 1 approx. Station 1+170.000) and extends over the municipal boundary to the adjacent buildings (House No. 120 approx. Station 1+890.000). In the existing four-lane cross-section, the existing curb lines will be largely maintained and a new funnel will be created for the connection of the access to the area of the former Westerholt colliery. For this purpose, approx. 1700 m² of roadway will be constructed in full asphalt construction (Bk10). For a length of approx. 100 m, one lane will be omitted and converted into a median strip with tree plantings. For a new lane configuration, supplementary surface renovations (1,200 m²) will be carried out in Marler Straße. The entire expansion area is to be made barrier-free according to the standards of Straßen.NRW (2,400 m²) and preparatory civil engineering work for the later installation of the traffic light system is required. As part of the drainage planning for the EG NZW, an emergency overflow with a connection channel to the existing public sewer must be constructed. Adjacent to the fully developed funnel, a construction site access road to the area of the former Westerholt colliery's timber storage yard will be built. The required preparatory earthworks are not part of the tender. The barrier-free expansion of the existing intersection Marler Straße L502/ Valentinstraße/ Egonstraße will be carried out predominantly in pavement construction (approx. 650 m2) in the side areas. The expansion area for civil engineering will extend to already newly constructed areas. The barrier-free standards of the City of Gelsenkirchen must be taken into account here. The laying of empty conduits and preparatory work for the later installation of the new traffic light system are also part of the tender.
