Therefore, please use exclusively the contact details of the tendering institution from the announcement if you: The State Research Institute for Agriculture and Fisheries Mecklenburg-Vorpommern collects data on the occurrence and reproductive capacity of sea trout in the state's rivers. This data is used to assess stock development, forms the basis for knowledge-based management, and aims to enable sustainable commercial and angling use of the stocks. These investigations are carried out in close coordination with the State Office for Agriculture and Fisheries (LALLF), to which the state stocking program is subordinate. Furthermore, individual waters that do not yet show stable or regular sea trout occurrence, but are considered for habitat improvement measures in the future, are also to be fished. The service to be awarded is intended to record the respective juvenile fish abundances (0+ and >0+) of sea trout and the Trout Habitat Score (THS), a qualitative classification of juvenile fish habitats, for representative river sections. The THS is determined in the field based on flow velocity, shading, substrate composition, water depth, and river width according to the specifications of ICES (SGBALANST 2011) (see appendix). The juvenile fish abundances are recorded over 100 m fishing stretches, determining the average width of the fishing stretch. This allows the calculation of a THS-dependent parr abundance per / 100m2. These standardized abundances are transmitted annually by the LFA to the ICES working group for salmon and sea trout in the Baltic Sea (WGBAST).
