The Völklinger Verkehrsbetriebe GmbH intends to procure a used electric articulated bus to replace an older existing vehicle that is to be decommissioned. The procurement of a new vehicle is expressly not an option. The vehicle fleet of Völklinger Verkehrsbetriebe GmbH already consists of a significant proportion of electrically powered buses. Against the background of the ongoing electrification of the fleet and the strategic goal of further expanding emission-free drive technologies, the current replacement procurement is also to be exclusively as an electrically powered vehicle. The procurement of a diesel-powered vehicle or a vehicle with any other conventional drive is expressly excluded. The subject of the tender is an operational, approved electric articulated bus suitable for scheduled services, which meets the relevant legal, technical, and safety requirements for operation in public passenger transport. The requirements for the procurement item are described in more detail in Appendix 2.2, Schedule of Services. Due to a short-term replacement need, the vehicle must be available promptly. The goal is the fastest possible vehicle acquisition, including handover and commissioning. The contracting authority expressly reserves the right, prior to awarding the contract: • to personally inspect the offered vehicle, • to check its technical condition, • as well as to verify the information on the scope of delivery, equipment, and condition. There is no legal entitlement to an award of contract. The attached tender documents must be observed!
