Description
This contract will provide hotel rooms and reentry services. Temporary emergency housing and re-housing support to assist MOCJ with booking, managing, tracking, reporting, and invoicing for hotels services for the temporary housing of both symptomatic and asymptomatic individuals impacted by the coronavirus pandemic. Enhanced Reentry Services for reentrants include but are not limited to: a. conducting assessments and daily wellness checks, supporting reentrants, many of who would otherwise be homeless and otherwise unstably supported, increasing connections between reentrants and job opportunities, mental and physical health supports, food delivery, clothing supplies, Metro Cards, cell phones, benefits activation, substance use intervention, family reunification, motivational interviews, and transition planning from the hotels; b. establishing and maintaining communication with state reentry officials with respect to parolees, state prisoners, and other categories of reentrants returning to New York City in order to ensure public safety and community cohesion.
The original contract was procured via an emergency contact Pursuant to Emergency Executive Order 101. However, this emergency declaration has expired and MOCJ is not able to extend this contract and must have a contract in place to not displace clients currently living in the hotels.
