Description

ObjectivesTo define the end-to-end digital development of AOCS/GNC subsystem, including definition of artefacts, tools, method andtechniques, as well as needed development, based on a pilot use case application.DescriptionDigitalisation is creating new processes and radically altering existing workflows.

The goal of this activity is to analyse the digital transformations to come for the AOCS/GNC subsystem. This includes, analysis of influences of digitalisation on subsystem development process; impact on standard AOCS/GNC artefacts produced in ESA projects; impact of digitalisation and Model Based engineering on the AOCS/GNC verification process. This activity aims at defining the tools, methods and techniques to be used (and developed) for digital engineering in AOCS/GNC domain engineering, as well as the definition of needed future developments. It is intended to demonstrate the gain of the digitalisationof the process on a pilot case. This activity encompasses the following tasks:- Assess the impact of digitalisation of AOCS/GNCprocess on the production of artefacts used in the project cycles reviews as review inputs (in replacement of current standard documentation), e.g. based on current ESA reviews definition and objectives, define possible qualitative and quantitative artefacts to support these reviews, its' relation with requirements engineering, modelling validation, engineering management plan and VV cycle-Revisit a typical AOCS development case in terms of tasks, inputs/outputs flow, products, process, skills, tools, facilities to define who/what, at which steps, on which facilities, and how could the AOCS subsystem be embedded in a Model Based System Engineering process.Specifically including:- Model-based flow-down of pointing requirements and associated VV cycle ,- Data sharing: structure and phases (importance of data range for AOCS robustness, ie. nominal values and their range of variation/uncertainty ; AOCS tuning data evolution and configuration ; AOCS data tuning dependency to the use -e.g. variable with specific tuning for some testing, somepart of the mission lifetime, etc...) .- Continuity of the models used for AOCS VV and avionics/system VV, together with continuity of the test reference scenarios/success criteria and relation with system requirements,- Model-based analysis of AOCS simulations and test results.Deliverables:Report
