Engineering, delivery and supervision for the replacement of absorption materials

Assignment: • Engineering and delivery of absorption materials, including on-site replacement supervision. • Submission of an action plan + commissioning plan (CO2 break-out test). Work will be carried out under the supplier's supervision. The supplier is responsible and will decide whether the installation can be put back into operation after the tests. Explanation of the need for absorption materials for the nitrogen plant: The nitrogen plant in Vilsteren/Ommen is designed for the separation of air into nitrogen and oxygen. The nitrogen produced is used for the manufacture of pseudo G-gas. The plant consists of two phases (Phase M and Phase L), each with two nitrogen trains. Molecular sieves are installed within this plant in the so-called pre-treatment phase. In this phase, the supplied process air is purified of, among other things, water (H₂O), carbon dioxide (CO₂), any higher hydrocarbons (HCs) present, and partially dinitrogen oxide (N₂O). This purification is essential for the efficient and reliable operation of the nitrogen production process. The adsorption material used in the ASUs at the nitrogen location Ommen/Vilsteren has reached its technical service life and needs to be replaced or renewed. Since the plant was commissioned, the molecular sieve filling of both Phase L and Phase M has been replaced once (2010 and early 2011). The current filling has reached the end of its technical service life, which is evidenced, among other things, by the observation of (small) CO2 breakthrough. The investment costs for the supply of molecular sieves (incl. services): € 500,000.00 These costs include: • Engineering and supply of the molecular sieve material; • Supervision (on-site services); • Travel and accommodation expenses.
