Hankinnan kohteena on Ensihoitokertomus-ohjelmiston tuki-, ylläpito- ja kehityspalvelut sekä muut asiantuntijapalvelut. Ensihoitokertomus (EHK) on lomake, jolla potilaasta kirjataan tietoja ensihoidon aikana. EHK sisältää potilaan terveyteen ja hoitoon liittyviä tietoja. Ensihoitokertomusta käyttäviä viranomaisia ovat ensihoidon lisäksi muut viranomaiset, jotka toimivat ensivasteessa viranomaistehtävillä. EHK-ohjelmisto on luokiteltu MDR (Medical Device Regulation 2017/745) IIa -tason lääkinnälliseksi laitteeksi. EHK mahdollistaa potilastietojen reaaliaikaisen käsittelyn suoraan kentällä ja hoitolaitoksissa ensihoitohenkilöstön toimesta. Hankinnan ennakoitu arvo laskettuna julkisista puolustus- ja turvallisuushankinnoista annetun lain (1531/2011) mukaisesti neljälle (4) vuodelle on 2–3,5 miljoonaa euroa (alv 0 %).
