Maintenance and restoration of acid-alkaline low marsh and megaforbiaes by mowing and logging

This tender concerns the maintenance and restoration of specific wetland habitats, namely acid-alkaline low marsh and megaforbiaes. The primary activities involve the mowing of herbaceous and understory vegetation, along with the logging of woody species. Following these operations, all resulting biomass will be exported off-site. Mowing will be primarily conducted using backpack brushcutters. For sector S5, the use of mechanized equipment is a possibility, provided it is a lightweight, motorized machine suitable for low-bearing capacity ground conditions. Woody species, including common alder, grey willow, and downy birch, will be logged and, where feasible, uprooted. The harvested materials will be collected into piles before being transported to a trailer temporarily stationed at the marsh edge. A lightweight grapple machine may be used for this export process, with prior installation of wooden pathways to mitigate soil compaction and rutting. This project aims to manage vegetation and restore the ecological balance of these sensitive wetland areas through targeted mechanical interventions.
