Expression of Interest for the Selection of a Firm for Technical Studies including Separate ESIA Studies and Supervision and Control of Construction Works for ECOFOs and the Following Infrastructures:

- Lot No. 1:

1. Extension Works of the Busiga Communal High School (9 classrooms, administrative block, latrines, and construction of fencing): NGZ-1;

2. Construction Works of the Muremera Urban High School in Buye (9 classrooms; construction of fencing): NGZ-2

1. The Government of the Republic of Burundi has received financing from the World Bank in the amount of US$60 million to finance the Integrated Community Development Project in Burundi “PRODECI-TURIKUMWE” and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this Grant to make payments under the contract for: “Technical Studies including separate ESIA studies and Supervision and Control of Construction Works for ECOFOs and Infrastructures for Lot 1 (1. Extension Works of the Busiga Communal High School (9 classrooms, administrative block, latrines, and construction of fencing): NGZ-1; 2. Construction Works of the Muremera Urban High School in Buye (9 classrooms; construction of fencing): NGZ-2) and Lot 2 (1. Construction Works of ECOFO Ngozi IV (14 classrooms + construction of an administrative block: NGZ-4, 2. Construction Works of the fencing for the multipurpose hall of the Communal High School in Cumba, Muyinga Commune: MYN-01), in the communes of Ngozi and Muyinga”.

2. The consulting services (“the Services”) include:

a. For TECHNICAL STUDIES INCLUDING SEPARATE ESIA/PGES STUDIES

 Environmental and social assessment and adequate environmental and social due diligence, i.e., ESIA with its ESMP or ESMP and possibly the production of specific environmental and social plans depending on the level of environmental and social risks, search for materials (involving the National Laboratory of Building and Public Works “LNBTP” for testing), Detailed Preliminary Project, Maintenance proposals for infrastructure, and Preparation of the Bidding Documents (BD) for the execution of works.

b. FOR SUPERVISION AND CONTROL OF CONSTRUCTION WORKS FOR ECOFOs AND INFRASTRUCTURES IN LOT 1 AND LOT 2

The mission consists of providing project management services including supervision and control of infrastructure works, monitoring of environmental, social, health, and safety measures, as well as the fight against GBV on behalf of the communes of NGOZI and MUYINGA.

3. The PRODECI-TURIKUMWE Project Management Unit hereby invites eligible consulting firms (“Consultants”) to express their interest in providing the Services. Interested consultants must provide information demonstrating that they possess the required qualifications and experience to perform the services.

The sought-after firm must have sufficient technical (equipment, material, personnel, etc.) and financial capacities to accomplish the mission.
