Description

KURVE Wustrow e.V. Centre for Networking and Training in Nonviolent Action is looking for an external consultant to provide an evaluation of the impact, opportunities and challenges of three projects to empower (youth) multipliers in post-coup Myanmar in the context of the Civil Peace Service programme for Myanmar. The results of the evaluation are supposed to inform the partner organisations and KURVE Wustrow to potentially adjust some of their project activities for the next three-year project phase, in which it is foreseen to intensify the focus on supporting multiplies. Moreover, the report is supposed to support the accountability towards the grantor (the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, BMZ). Approach / Methodology Preparation/Desk Study: - Review of internal programme application, project agreements with objectives and indicators / narrative reports etc.. Interviews, focus group discussions (mostly or completely online), potentially additional information collection e.g. through survey: - Adjustment of questionnaires to the three partner organisations. - Selection of project relevant actors: alumni, project staff of the partner organisations, project staff of KURVE Wustrow, based in Thailand, Myanmar. - Travel Conditions: International travels are not part of the budget. Domestic travel expenses in Thailand for project-related activities might be covered upon prior approval and in accordance with the German Federal Travel Expenses Act (Bundesreisekostengesetz/ BRKG). Please note that the feasibility of in-person field interviews depends entirely on the availability and accessibility of interviewees. Presentations of preliminary findings: - After the main part of interviews and before editing the final report. Reporting: - Written documentation of outcomes and insights, including further recommendations (general, and specific and separate for each of the three partner organisations) relevant to partner organisations and KURVE Wustrow Submission Structure (How to Apply) If you are interested in this assignment, please submit a complete bid, including the following documents: - Letter of Interest & Confirmation of Availability for the scheduled timeframe. - Financial Proposal: Detailed breakdown of expected fees (daily rate and total days), tentative schedule and time availability.
