Description

ESA CCI NG: The ESA Climate Change Initiative (CCI) Next Generation (NG) Essential Climate Variables (ECVs). This present procurement, referred to as CCI Next Generation (CCI-NG), is issued as part of the ESA Earth Action Programme. CCI-NG aims to perform the RDneeded to provide long-term, global satellite-based climate data records responding to the GCOS requirements for ECVs. In so doing,it provides the state-of-the-art EO-based climate information needed to monitor, understand and predict climate change and ensures that this capacity is available for transfer to sustainable operations, underpinning improvements in climate services.
