A crucial aspect in the selection of the exoscope is the complete integration of essential intraoperative imaging technologies, particularly fluorescence imaging for tumor and vascular operations. The equipment with near-infrared (NIR) and blue light technology enables targeted visualization of tumor tissue (e.g., after administration of 5-ALA or ICG) as well as vascular structures. This contributes to more precise resection and increased intraoperative safety. Thus, the exoscope combines all essential functions of a modern surgical microscope, enhanced by the advantages of more flexible working and improved intraoperative visualization for the entire surgical team. With the system to be procured from Olympus, these prerequisites are met.
