Description

Electricity Generation and Retail Corporation trading as Synergy invites Expressions of Interest ( EOI ) from suitably qualified sellers for Power Purchase Agreements and related renewable energy supply arrangements. Synergy is seeking proposals for medium to long-term renewable energy and/or bundled renewable energy supply arrangements from renewable generation projects that have not yet reached Final Investment Decision ( FID ) and will be fully operational by 1 October 2030, with a preference for projects to be operational by October 2029. Proposals may incorporate standalone renewable generation or hybrid renewable energy solutions, including battery energy storage systems ( BESS ) and other renewable energy technologies. The opportunity may include energy-only supply, fully bundled supply of energy, capacity and renewable credits, or alternative bilateral supply arrangements proposed by sellers. Projects are expected to connect to the South-West Interconnected System ( SWIS ), and Synergy prefers a minimum installed capacity of 40MW. This EOI is Stage 1 of a two-stage procurement process. Shortlisted sellers may be invited to participate in Stage 2 and submit binding proposals. Respondents must not contact Synergy employees or Directors regarding this EOI.
