Final evaluation of the Project: Supporting Member States in Implementing UNESCO’s Recommendation on the Ethics of AI Organization UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization Posted 4 Jun 2026 Closing date 24 Jun 2026 The UNESCO Science Sector is seeking a qualified company to conduct the final evaluation of the project “Supporting Member States in Implementing UNESCO’s Recommendation on the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence through Innovative Tools” , funded by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for International Partnerships. The evaluation will assess the project’s performance and achievements throughout its implementation period ( July 2023 – June 2026 ), with a particular focus on how it has supported Member States in integrating ethical principles into national AI policies and frameworks. The main objectives of the evaluation are to: • Assess the extent to which the project has translated UNESCO’s Recommendation on the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence into national and/or regional institutional and regulatory frameworks throughout its implementation period. • Review the project’s performance, generate lessons learned, and provide strategic recommendations to inform future programming and support the scaling up of tools and approaches related to AI ethics.
