Im Auftrag des Ministeriums für Landwirtschaft, Weinbau, Umwelt, und Forsten (MLWUF) ist das Landesamt für Umwelt (LfU) für die Erfassung der vom Flugbe-trieb ausge-henden Geräuschimmissionen zuständig. Derzeit sind folgende drei Messstellen (bzw. Fluglärm-Überwachungsgeräte) im Betrieb: - Messstelle Mainz-Weisenau (Messbeginn April 2011) - Messstelle Mainz-Laubenheim (Messbeginn Juli 2012, neuer Messstandort ab Oktober 2023) - Messstelle Mainz-Universitätsmedizin (Messbeginn Januar 2013) Die Messstellen Mainz-Weisenau und Mainz-Universitätsmedizin befinden sich seit Messbeginn am ursprünglichen Standort. Der Messbetrieb der Messstelle Mainz-Laubenheim wurde im April 2022 am ur-sprünglichen Standort eingestellt, da das private Gebäude, welches für die Mess-stelle genutzt wurde, nicht mehr zur Verfügung stand. Mit dem Wirtschaftsbetrieb Mainz konnte ein geeigneter Standort auf dem Gelände des Friedhofs Mainz-Laubenheim (Dach der Friedhofshalle) gefunden werden. Im Oktober 2023 wurde der Messbetrieb dort, unweit von der vorherigen Messstelle, fortgeführt. Zum Zeitpunkt der Erstellung der Leistungsbeschreibung liegt der Auftrag seitens des MLWUF vor, eine weitere und damit vierte Messstelle einzurichten. Diese soll sich unterhalb der Nordwest-Abflugstrecke befinden. Eine Vorauswahl möglicher Standorte wird aktuell getroffen. Im Auftrag des MLWUF wird im Rahmen dieses Verfahrens die Fortführung der Messungen an den Standorten Mainz-Weisenau, Mainz-Universitätsmedizin und Mainz-Laubenheim für zwei weitere Betriebs-jahre ab dem 01.11.2026 sowie die Aufnahme der Messungen an einer vierten Station (unterhalb der Nordwest-Abflugstrecke) ab dem 01.11.2026 ausgeschrieben. Zudem beinhaltet die Aus-schreibung eine Option zur Errichtung einer weiteren (fünften) Messstelle.
