Description
Aspen Beach Provincial Park (ABPP) is one of Alberta’s largest and oldest provincial park campgrounds, located on the shores of Gull Lake. The park includes multiple campgrounds: Lakeview and Brewers. The majority of the project work is concentrated in the Lakeview Campground, consisting of approximately 255 campsites.
A Park Modernization Assessment (2020), followed by building assessments and concept designs (2021–2022), identified that the Lakeview Shower Building, Comfort Station Toilet Buildings, and Administration Building are in deteriorated condition and require significant refurbishment to meet current building codes, accessibility standards, and operational requirements.
The previous assessments and concept designs for the building establish general objectives relative to each of the buildings identified within the park. Following the processes outlined in this RFP; the successful Proponent will work with the Province to investigate and formalize opportunities identified in the assessments so as to implement and achieve the end result desired by the Province.
The assessment and concept reports provide decision options along with project direction and information on issues, site reviews, and details that support the Project.
The purpose of this RFP is to invite Proposals from suitably qualified Proponents who demonstrate sufficient experience and qualification to provide detailed design, secure approvals, prepare tender documents and perform project management and construction monitoring services for the renovation or multiple buildings as identified within the scope of this RFP.
Refer to the RFP document for additional information and complete scope of work.
