Description

Alberta Forestry and Parks - Parks Division (“Alberta Parks”) is seeking a business entity or non-profit organization or Proponent Team to operate and maintain the Premises described in the Agreement (Appendix C of this RFP). Approximately half of the campgrounds in the provincial parks system are operated under contract. Facility Operating Agreements (FOAs) are like a franchise model, with the Operator operating under the Alberta Parks brand, and being required to follow the Provincial Parks Fees Order, regulations, directives, performance standards, and business rules for consistency across the Alberta Parks system. An FOA is a contract to deliver Alberta Parks services, not a long-term lease to run a private business, and is more like a turnkey operation with contractual expectations and processes (e.g., Annual Operating Plan, revenue and expense reporting). This RFP is for the procurement of operations and maintenance services for Wabamun Lake Provincial Park. Refer to the RFP document for additional details on this opportunity. Additional Requirements: -- The Operator must have or must obtain coverage under the Workers’ Compensation Board – Alberta (WCB). -- Proponent must provide a copy of their Occupational Health and Safety Program specific to work identified in this RFP. -- The Operator is required to provide a performance security in the amount of $90,000.00 prior to the Province signing the Agreement. Commodity Categories: Facility maintenance and repair services, Facilities management Delivery Region: Alberta
