Politidirektoratet lyser ut konkurranse for et forskningsoppdrag i forbindelse med innføring av ny modell for tjenesteutvikling (MTU) i politiet. Modell for tjenesteutvikling medfører nye måter å arbeide på for hele organisasjonen. Implementeringen vil innebære endringer i arbeidsformer, samhandling, ledelse og beslutningsprosesser. For å sikre læring, kvalitet og justering underveis, før nye praksiser får feste i organisasjonen, ønsker Politidirektoratet at et forskningsmiljø skal gjennomføre aksjonsforskning, eller annen type følgeforskning hvor forskere samarbeider tett med virksomheten, parallelt med implementeringen. Oppdraget skal støtte en strukturert og systematisk læringsprosess. Det overordnede formålet med oppdraget er å understøtte implementeringen av modellen gjennom kontinuerlig læring og å skape forståelse for eventuelle endringsbehov.
