Der Zoo Leipzig ist im Rahmen seiner Verantwortung im Natur- und Artenschutz Partner im Projekt LIFE4HamsterSaxony, welches von der Europäischen Union kofinanziert wird. Hauptaugenmerk des Projektes ist die Etablierung einer stabilen Feldhamsterpopulation im Projektraum Nordwestsachsen mittels Erprobung und schrittweiser Implementierung feldhamsterfreundlicher landwirtschaftlicher Maßnahmen sowie Zucht und Auswilderung von Feldhamstern durch den Zoo Leipzig. Sowohl zum wissenschaftlichen Monitoring als auch zur Erfolgsüberprüfung werden Wildkameras benötigt. Lieferleistung: Zur Durchführung dieser Aufgabe werden über die Projektlaufzeit von 6 Jahren (Projektende: 31.12.2031) insgesamt 250 Fotofallen-Sets benötigt.
