Invitation for Prequalification
The Republic of Azerbaijan has received a loan from the InternationalBank for Reconstruction and Development and a credit from the International Development Association (World Bank). It intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract of "Four Laning of the Baku - Shamakhi - Muganli Road, km 45,0 – 66.3". "AzerRoadService" OJC invites contractors/ firms for the Prequalification with regard to the above contract.
Brief description of works:
The subject road section is the 21km long part of the Baku-Shamakhi road which begins near the village of Dzhengi and ends a few kilometersSouth-East of Narimankand. The project commences at km 45 and extendsuntil km 66.3 of M4 highway. The project involves widening of the existing 2 lane road, which wasrehabilitated in 2010, to 4 lanes.
Invitation for Bids is expected to be issued in May, 2012.
Prequalification will be conducted through the procedures as specified in the World Bank's Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDACredits (current edition May 2004, revised October 2006 and May 2010), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the guidelines.
A complete set of prequalification documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders starting from 05 January 2011 (09:00-17:00,local time), upon submission of a written application to the address below and payment of a nonrefundable fee of 150 (one hundred and fifty) AZN or 190 (one hundred and ninety) US$. The method of payment will be cash or by bank transfer to:
