Supply, installation and commissioning of two synthesis automatons for the radiochemistry laboratory of the Cyclotron Research Centre of ULiège

These modules will be equipped with sensors to provide real-time feedback on the physical states of their components, including actuator positions and speeds, pressure, temperature, and radioactivity levels at various points, allowing for real-time monitoring of the synthesis process. Automated production refers to the execution of experimental protocols by the synthesis module, ensuring repeatable, reliable, and safe chemical substance manufacturing. The execution of these protocols involves specific components: reagent kits (pre-packaged reagents requiring minimal operator intervention), fluidic pathways (fixed or disposable tubing/cassettes for logical reagent and waste transfer), and computerized synthesis programs (machine instructions controlling the module's sequence of actions). A control software is also required to manage the system.
