Municipality of Bodolz - New Construction of Daycare Center: Building Design Services

The Municipality of Bodolz, located in the Bavarian district of Lindau (Lake Constance), is seeking design services for the new construction of a daycare center (KiTa). This project aims to address the growing need for childcare facilities in the region. The proposed site for the new facility is in "Bodolz-West," adjacent to an existing elementary school and in proximity to the current midday care service. The municipality, with a population of approximately 3,000, is known for its attractive setting near Lake Constance and its local economy influenced by small businesses, fruit farming, and summer tourism.

The core objective of this planning assignment is to develop a design concept for a new, six-group daycare facility that will be architecturally significant to the local landscape. The design must provide practical solutions for the space requirements outlined in the program, catering to both children under three (U3) and over three (Ü3) years of age. While the primary focus is on the internal operation of the facility, the design should consider the context of the neighboring school. The municipality anticipates that the new daycare center will be operational by 2026 at the latest. A budget of approximately EUR 7.2 million (gross) has been allocated for cost groups 200-700 of the construction work. This budget serves as a cost framework and must not be exceeded. The selected service provider will be responsible for the building design services (Objektplanungsleistungen Gebäude).
