Diese Maßnahme, initiiert durch den Konzernvorstand, verfolgt das Ziel, die Zuverlässigkeit und Leistungsfähigkeit der Strecke nachhaltig zu verbessern. Gleichzeitig soll sie den Fahrgästen ein stabileres und effizienteres Bahnangebot bieten. Um die eng getaktete Bauzeit 2027 zu entlasten, wird der Abschnitt Bremen HBF bis Bremen Bve nach 2026 vorgezogen.
