Construction and craft works for the construction of the new city park "Zelena oaza"

The park as a whole covers more than 15 hectares and is divided into functional zones which include: children's playgrounds with a cafe bar and public restrooms, parking space, pump track (polygon/track for cyclists), exercise areas, an orchard with a picnic zone, a water feature, a multifunctional central building, a square by the water feature with a constructed bridge, an amphitheater, an open butterfly pavilion, St. Valentine's pavilion, a dog park, and graffiti walls. The works that constitute the subject of this procurement can be divided into the following units: - Execution of preparatory and earthworks, including removal of humus layer, leveling and terrain modeling, installation of underground utilities (water supply and storm drainage), execution of irrigation system; planting of complete greenery, which includes planting trees, hedges around the dog park, climbing plants, low shrubs in the parking lot, and planting aquatic plants. Native, non-allergenic, and pollinator-friendly species will be used, contributing to the goals of preserving and improving biodiversity. - Execution of a water feature for storm water detention, reduction of the urban heat island effect, and increase of biodiversity. A lake with an area of 6,250 m² with a fountain is designed as a natural retention area for collecting and filtering storm water, with a landscaped gravel shore and retaining walls that ensure stability and harmonious integration into the environment. - Execution of the butterfly pavilion with associated installations. - Execution of pergolas ("brajdi") with associated installations. - Equipping the park with urban furniture (concrete benches with ambient lighting, freestanding and hanging birdhouses, freestanding insect hotels, trash bins, drinking fountains, bicycle racks, and a weather station). The furniture is selected according to the principles of durability, resistance, and functionality. The main element of the architectural-landscape concept is the formation of a lake that has multiple functions: retention, aesthetic, and ecological. Most of the terrain will be modeled with a gentle slope towards the lake, while preserving the natural relief. All earthworks and infrastructure works will be carried out in accordance with professional standards, respecting all legal provisions and regulations. All excavated earth material, after the construction of foundations and foundation walls, will be used for backfilling around the walls, between the walls within the building, for trenches of foundation sewage, plumbing, and electrical installations. Horticultural landscaping represents a key component of the project and includes planting more than 1,310 trees, 3,500 shrubs and climbing plants, and 6,300 aquatic plants. Approximately 91,000 m² of area will be sown with grass and flower meadow, while planting trees will achieve over 57,000 m² of canopy coverage. High greenery will be formed as a protective belt towards the railway line, roads, and industrial zone, while within the park, tree-lined avenues will be planted along pedestrian-bicycle paths. Low greenery and ground covers will contribute to the formation of transition zones and the visual integrity of the space, and flower meadows and an orchard in the eastern part will further enrich the landscape diversity. The fertile soil to be used for planting high and low vegetation and sowing lawns will consist of cleaned fertile soil removed during construction work, thus enabling rational resource utilization and the application of circular economy principles.
