All furniture must be robust, easy to clean, safe, and child-friendly, and comply with the requirements according to DIN EN 1729, DIN EN 312, DIN EN 438, DIN EN 71-3, and DIN 4102-1 / DIN EN 13501-1. All furniture to be supplied must be suitable for permanent use in a children's facility with nursery and kindergarten operations (under 3s / over 3s). It must be robust, easy to clean, safe, and child-friendly, and meet the increased requirements for hygiene, safety, and mechanical load capacity. The furniture must meet at least the following basic requirements: · Use of chipboard according to DIN EN 312, low emission, at least emission class E1 · Use of lacquers without added heavy metals, saliva- and sweat-resistant according to DIN EN 71-3 · Use of water-based stains · Use of CFC-free foams · Use of non-dampened veneers of European origin Compliance with the aforementioned requirements must be demonstrated to the client upon request by suitable, verifiable proof (e.g., manufacturer declarations, test certificates, certifications). High-pressure laminate (HPL) according to DIN EN 438 and ISO 4586 must be used as coating materials. The materials must be suitable for use in childcare facilities and be free of asbestos, cadmium, polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE), and solvent-containing components. Minimum requirement: application class 333. Upholstery materials must be free of formaldehyde, CFCs, and PCP. The foam density must be at least 30 kg/m³ according to DIN EN ISO 845. Furniture fabrics, covers, and carpets must be flame-retardant according to DIN 4102-1, building material class B1, or equivalent according to DIN EN 13501-1, at least Euroclass C-s2,d0. The materials must be abrasion-resistant, low in pollutants, and suitable for use in children's areas. Glass and mirrors must be executed as safety glass according to DIN 18008.
