HIC gGmbH - Procurement of a virtual test stand

As part of the National Innovation and Technology Center for Hydrogen, East Location, the Hydrogen Innovation Center (HIC), a simulation and integration platform for simulation-based system and control development as well as virtual test sequence investigations (hereinafter referred to as virtual test stand - VTS) is being procured. The aim is to use this VTS for model-based design and dimensioning of components, subsystems, and systems in the fuel cell and electrolyzer context early in the development process. Furthermore, it should be possible to research and develop system operation, their control and regulation, as well as test sequences (procedures and protocols) for standardized system tests before physical systems are available (Virtual Testing, Software-in-the-Loop – SiL, test automation and experimental design/Design-of-Experiments – DoE). Via included interface hardware, individual components, subsystems, and systems of fuel cells and electrolyzers should be able to be coupled to the simulation environment in the further development process in order to investigate physical systems in conjunction with virtual systems (Hardware-in-the-Loop – HiL). Via suitable model connection and integration software, it must be possible to couple simulation models from different modeling tools (Co-simulation), whereby the software must automatically realize the synchronization of the different models. The VTS thus comprises both the hardware and the software required for the realization of these tasks.
